FAQs
-
1) What does it mean that you’re a fiduciary RIA?
As a Registered Investment Advisor, we’re legally required to act in your best interest at all times. That means transparent advice, clear fees, and recommendations based solely on your goals, risk tolerance, and timeline—not commissions or sales quotas.
-
2) How do you charge for wealth management services?
We’re fee-only. Our pricing is simple and transparent—a percentage of assets under management (AUM), a flat annual fee. No commissions, no hidden incentives. Your cost is known upfront and aligned with your success.
-
3) What is your investment philosophy and how do you manage risk?
We use a diversified, evidence-based approach focused on long-term compounding. Portfolios are built with low-cost funds and rebalanced periodically. Risk is managed through proper asset allocation, position sizing, and ongoing monitoring to help you stay on track through market volatility.
-
4) How do you reduce taxes in my portfolio?
We look for tax-efficient opportunities such as asset location (placing the right assets in the right accounts), tax-loss harvesting, charitable gifting strategies, and coordinated withdrawal plans in retirement. We also collaborate with your CPA when needed.
-
5) What are your account minimums and who do you work with?
We don’t have account minimums. Aegis aims to serve all our clients equally, regardless of where you’re at in your financial journey. We serve professionals, business owners, and retirees seeking a comprehensive plan—investments, retirement income, equity comp/ESPP, and estate & tax coordination.
-
6) Where are my assets held, and how are they protected?
Your accounts are held at an independent third-party custodian for safety and transparency. You keep 24/7 online access, statements, and trade confirmations. Accounts benefit from standard SIPC protections, and we require strong security practices like two-factor authentication.
